So last night the USWNT played against a very young Dominican Republic side. I knew the game would end up being a one sided game. Now people are criticizing the coach and team for being a little too rough on the Dominican Republic.
I watched the game and enjoyed the fact we did get a win in the bag but felt bad for the other side. I mean a 0-14 loss is fucking ridiculous. Goal after goal just kept coming. The USWNT didn't seem to step off the pedal. In concern to the coach, celebrating after winning by so many goals is not necessary. Before you go jumping on me for whatever reason think of this, how would you feel if you were being beaten a Goliath-like team by A LOT and there wasn't any hope of scoring. You are representing the country you love and honor but put to shame by the circumstances. It's really disappointing to be that team. My thought as to what to do to avoid these types of games is to cut down the number of countries able to compete in the competition. 0-14 very intimidating. o.o
AREA NO KISHI!
O.K! since we're talking about soccer let's head to my new favorite anime/manga Area no Kishi (Knight in the Area). I'm not summarizing this cause it's much better if you read the manga and watch the anime. Just a heads up, it only comes out once a month. D; So if you do get into this sports manga, which I can assure you it's so much more, you'll wait it out no matter what. Episode 3 broke my heart all over again. Nearly put me in tears. I think that scene will always get to me. </3 Like I said I'm so tempted to tell you guys about what happens but it's highly recommended you watch and or read the manga. So do me a favor go do it and tell me about it? xD If you're into soccer and drama all mixed up into one amazing story, then this is the show for you. Trust me on this, you'll definitely love!
